Setting up "The Blog"
Incredibly, even the simplest things in life can become complicated very quickly. This morning, I woke up to the ringing of not my own phone's alarm, which I had scheduled the night before, but instead a rather alarming screech from my sister's Blackberry phone. She and I are both home at our parents houses instead of our usual residences during the scholarly year. I am home because I wanted to be taken care of after taking my MCAT exam, which I gave yesterday. Any how, upon waking, I realized that I had forgotten to set up my blog the day beforehand as I originally anticipated I would and rushed to my parents computer. Upon attempting to access my old gmail account, I realized that I had completely forgotten the password as my St. Thom email now usually runs my life. When creating a new email account and seeing the criteria required for creating a "strong" password, I thought to myself and instantly remembered my old password. However, it was too later and I had come too far. This new email was happening. Despite the rather lackadaisical name, "icantskip", which I have chosen to represent my blogs for this assignment, its crudity reminds me of a simpler me, or it is also the name I use on my xbox 360 and so it makes it easier for me to remember. The thing I had the most trouble with is entering that random bit of text of twisted letters before being able to finish creating an account. I messed that part up at least 4 or 5 times. I'd like to personally thank God that we no longer run on 28k or 56k modems, or the extra three minutes it took me to set up my account could easily have become much, much more; and the computer sitting before me now could have been in many, many more pieces. But alas, I have set up my blog. Hopefully, I have set it up successfully and won't be that kid in class who gets called out for never doing anything on time/correctly.
